Juan Carlos Gago, Tenor

Un tenor cantando a Víctor Jara

Juan Carlos Gago, tenor; Pablo Bermúdez, guitar and Iñigo Crespo, double bass.

A biographical concert where his songs are accompanied by snippets of his history. A unique singer-songwriter who gave even his most precious asset, his life, for the freedom and dignity of the peoples.

Victor`s songs continue to be sung, preserving their beauty and their message.

Que el canto tiene sentido

Cuando palpita en las venas

Del que morirá cantando

Las verdades verdaderas

As a child, Juan Carlos Gago became passionate about opera. When he was 13 years old, he began to dream of becoming an opera singer one day Years later at 20 years old, he made his debut with a lyrical concert, singing opera and zarzuela, quickly becoming one of the most promising young European tenors.

But in that child, admiration for the singer-songwriter Victor JARA was also forged. His voice and the beauty of his songs, along with his principles and courage as a man, made that when he was already a recognized tenor, he recorded in 1998, the album “Homemade a Victor Jara “which was followed by 72 concerts in France and Spain with great success.

Juan Carlos is accompanied by :

Pablo Bermúdez : He moves between intuition and experimentation. A self-taught musician, a classical, acoustic, or electric guitar is enough for him to be part of any project with Juan Carlos Gago, as well as with his rock band The Gordini Rock Show.

Iñigo Crespo. double bass player by vocation, Heir to the most genuine and classic Rock and Rol. Capable of shaping any root sound that slides down your neck. He stands out for his elegance, for his dramatic strength on stage, his feeling and passion in music.
